The tax bills are sent to the Assessed Owner of Record.  Legally, the Assessors may change the Assessed Owner's name only after receiving a copy of the recorded deed from the Registry of Deeds.  This process may take 6 months to 1 year.  In the interim you may obtain a copy of your tax bill from the Collector's Office.
