The Town of Medway Department of Public Works is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time (37 hours per week) position of Assistant Trades Technician.
The Assistant Trades Technician plays a key role in performing and overseeing contractors in a variety of highly skilled and semi-skilled construction and facilities maintenance tasks. This position is responsible for supporting the engineering and maintenance functions of Town facilities and ensuring that all work complies with the Massachusetts State Building Code standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-related maintenance, including experience with installation, repair, and maintenance of windows, doors, furniture, office partitions, shelving, HVAC systems, roofing, painting, fixtures, and other commercial building components.
A working knowledge of electrical, telecommunications, plumbing, and other building trades is required. The position also involves performing general labor and related duties as needed to support assigned projects.
