It is with a sad heart that we share the passing of former Medway Selectman Andrew (Andy) Espinosa. Andy served as a Selectman for the Town of Medway from 2007-2012 before moving to Horizon City, TX. A software engineer by trade with a specialty in designing financial software, Andy was an organized thinker. As part of his campaign for Selectmen, Espinosa offered a five-step program designed to help ease Medway’s fiscal woes and continue the progress he says the current board has made.
The first step would be to change the operational structure of Town Hall and increase financial checks and balances for the town, creating an "environment of accountability," improving communication between departments, consolidating responsibility, and ultimately reducing costs, Espinosa said.
In an article written by WickedLocal.com in April 2007, he said, "It’s very gratifying to see the town cares what the future will be like," said Espinosa. "Having a plan and a vision is a very important thing.
The Town of Medway is very appreciative of Mr. Espinosa’s forward thinking. He, along with the other Board members at that time, put long-term solutions in place for the town we benefit from today.
A memorial service for Andrew will be held Friday, November 3, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915, followed by a prayer service at 4:00 PM.
