Medway Officials were thrilled to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday, Thursday, May 10, marking the official opening of the Glen Brook Way Senior Apartments on West Street. The completion of the 44 units of affordable senior housing completes the intergenerational affordable rental housing project.
Medway officials in attendance included Glenn Trindade, Select Board Chair and Medway Affordable Housing Trust; Dennis Crowley, Select Board member; Michael Boynton; the Town Manager; William Kingsbury, Chief of Police; and Barbara Saint Andrew, director of community and economic development.
Speakers included Metro West Community Development, Representative Jeffrey Roy’s office, Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC), Maloney Properties, Select Board Chair Glenn Trindade, and Town Manager Michael Boynton.
Glenn Trindade spoke of the path to get here, and all the help along the way, and Michael Boynton dedicated the playground (posthumously) to the former Town of Medway Community and Economic Development Director, Stephanie Mercandetti. Ms. Mercandetti was instrumental in getting this project started.
