The Highway Department reports that paving is scheduled to start TODAY, August 9, and will continue thru Thursday, August 12.  

The following roads will receive a binder coat:

Meryl Street, Richard Road, Robin Circle, Beatrice Lane, and Applegate Road.

(What Is the Binder? The binder, which is sometimes called the base coat, is a load-bearing course consisting of aggregate and hot-mix asphalt).

Once the base is complete, they will put the topcoat on the following roads:

Coffee Street, Ellis Street, Virginia Road, Karen Avenue, Gorwin Drive, Douglas Street, Lee Lane, and Carole Lane.

The topcoat will be done on Applegate after the berm is complete.
