Medway’s water department seeks a water/sewer operator to join our amazing team! This is a full-time, 37-hour position. The water/sewer operator is a union position and is eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities include:
Participates in construction oversight and maintenance of extensions to the water distribution,
Installs water mains and lines, hydrants, valves, and pumps, and excavates trenches and backfills excavations.
Cleans and repairs mains and manholes, repairs water mains, repairs water mains hydrants and gates.
Installs and reads water meters.
Performs daily water sampling of the water supply and maintains treatment operations as necessary.
