As summer progresses, we expect elevated West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis activity across Massachusetts. The Medway Health Department wants to remind residents of the best ways to prevent mosquito bites.  

• Use insect repellents
• Wear long-sleeved clothing
• Schedule outdoor activities to avoid the hours from dusk to dawn during peak mosquito season.
• Repair damaged window and door screens
• Remove standing water from areas around your home
